The Amalfi Coast is known for its breathtaking views, its beautiful blue seas and its impressive cliffs.

No better way to recharge your batteries than to discover this region on an authentic Italian Vespa. During your rides, you'll pass through beautiful villages like Positano, Amalfi and Ravello which lie along high cliffs, endless blue water and unseen winding roads.

The region offers much more than that, however, for not only is the historical city of Pompeii close by, but the famous port city Sorrento is also just a short drive away with your Vespa. And let this city, like Amalfi, be the two capitals of the lemon region. And that means only one thing: limoncello!

In addition to the splendour of the Amalfi Coast and the history the region has to offer, this trip also takes in the hinterland of the Amalfi Peninsula.

In this track (65 km) you'll discover the pearls of the Southern coast of the peninsula: Amalfi, Ravello and of course, Positano. This road has been awarded "Most beautiful road in Europe" multiple times.
For this route, you head into the hilly hinterland of the Amalfi Peninsula up to Villaggio Monte Faito. Via small villages offering you fantastic view of the area, you drive via Sorrento to Bagni Giovanna.

The order of these routes is not fixed. If you ride solo, you choose when you ride which route. If you ride in a group, you decide at the beginning of the trip together with the guide, based on the riding experience and the weather forecast.

How do I get there?

The best way to travel to Italy for your Amalfi trip is to fly to the airport of Naples (NAP).

By car

If you come by car, you can easily park it for free in the spacious parking in front of the hotel. The address of the hotel is Via Deserto 13, 80061 Massa Lubrense, Italy.

By public transport

From Naples, you can easily take a train to Sorrento. From Sorrento, you can then take a bus to Sant'Agata, where you are just 10 minutes away from the hotel by foot. More info about the train can be found via this link, for bus information, click here.

Shuttle from airport to hotel

On the first and last day of your Vespa Trip you can book a shuttle for €30 p.p. that will bring you directly from Naples airport to hotel O Sole Mio, and from the hotel back to the airport.
Please note! You can only book this shuttle on the first day (airport to hotel) and the last day (hotel to airport) of your Vespa Trip. You can find the complete time schedule here.

By taxi

From Naples airport to the hotel (O Sole Mio in Sant'Agata) is about one hour and fifteen minutes by taxi (60 km). If you book a taxi in advance via the hotel, you will pay around €90. If you don’t book a taxi and take one at the airport, you will easily pay €150 to €200 for a single ride.

The Vespa Trip explained

Never driven a Vespa or scooter before? Then we strongly recommend you to take the Start-to-Vespa class. On your arrival day, the guide will give you all the information and an initiation to get the hang of Vespa driving and to be able to drive safely in Italian traffic. After this lesson you'll be ready to start your Vespa Trip. This class costs € 50 per person.

Driving licence

In order to drive our Vespas in Italy, you must have a driving license (B) or a motorbike license (A) and be 18+. The AM driving license is not valid. The passenger sitting in the back does not need to be 18 nor have a driving license. Do you have a European driving license? That's perfect! Is your license not for Europe? Then you'll need to apply for an international driving license.

Daily breakfast is included in the price. For a lovely lunch or dinner, we always recommend some of our favorite restaurants. In Sant'Agata, the home base for your Vespa Trip, you will find many cozy restaurants and nice bars.

The designed routes are uploaded on a GPS, which you can easily attach to the steering wheel of your Vespa. With this GPS (+ 30 €) you'll come by the most beautiful roads and arrive on the most stunning stops.

Your Vespa

Throughout the trip, you'll have your own 125cc Vespa at your disposal. You'll receive it the morning after your arrival, and bring it back on the last evening. The Vespa is yours for the whole trip, even during the evenings.

If you want to receive your Vespa earlier, or want to keep it a bit longer, you can choose for the Early Pick-Up and/or Late Drop-Off. That way, the Vespa is yours from 2pm on your arrival day and/or you can return it at 2pm on your departure day (50 € per option).

Can I drive the Vespa solo?
The prices are calculated with the assumption that the Vespa is shared between 2 people. If you would like to drive solo, there is a supplement of 120 € per single driver.

You are automatically insured for damage to third parties with your Vespa. For damage to your own Vespa you have two choices. Either you choose the omnium insurance (€ 89 per Vespa), where the own risk is € 0. If you don't want this insurance, a deposit of € 500 is required for which you are liable.

This insurance gives you the opportunity to book without worries. You'll be able to cancel your booking until the day of departure and receive a full refund, provided that you can show a valid reason for doing so. You can read the conditions here.

This travel insurance provides assistance in the event of an accident. Make sure you never travel uninsured!
