Explore Puglia

There is no better way to discover the heel of Italy than on an authentic, Italian Vespa. You will cross the picturesque surroundings of Puglia, feeling the warmth of the sun on your face and the wind blowing through your hair. During your rides, you will admire the typical Trulli houses in Alberobello, beautiful white villages such as Ostuni and Cisternino and the stunning coastline of Polignano a Mare. You’ll also enjoy the vast olive groves and quiet winding roads, through all of Puglia.

After a day of cruising on your Vespa, enjoying the charm of the small Italian villages, you can mingle with the locals and dive into the wonderful Italian atmosphere! The Vespa Trip Puglia takes place in September & October. During these months, the temperatures are pleasant and there’s less tourism than during the summer..

It’s the best moment to live fully the simple & peaceful southern Italian lifestyle.

The routes

Our starting point in Puglia is centrally located near Fasano, between Bari and Brindisi. You will discover the region through 3 different itineraries. You can choose to explore these routes on your own (using road book & GPS) or to follow our guides.

Itinerary

The order of the routes is flexible. If you are riding solo, you can choose your itinerary. If you ride with the group, you decide with the rest of the group which itinerary you want to follow according to your experience and the weather.

Your stay

Centrally located in Puglia you will find Masseria Don Sante, the perfect base for this trip. The beautiful Apulian country house offers a delicious homemade breakfast and an optional typical Italian lunch or dinner.

After a day of exploring on your Vespa, enjoy the refreshing pool and peaceful surroundings. The hotel is a 10-minute drive away from bustling Fasano, the ideal place for evening walks between the locals and to enjoy the wonderful, Italian atmosphere.

The Vespa Trip explained

  • Four nights in an entrancing hotel, including daily breakfast
  • The rent of your amazing Vespa, helmets and lock*
  • A road book
  • Parking at the hotel

*This price is calculated on two people per Vespa. More information about driving alone can be found under ‘your Vespa’.

YOUR VESPA

Throughout the trip, you’ll have your own 125cc Vespa at your disposal. You’ll receive it the morning after your arrival, and return it on the last evening. The Vespa is yours for the whole trip, even during the evenings.

If you want to receive your Vespa earlier, or want to keep it a bit longer, you can choose the Early Pick-Up and/or the Late Drop-Off. With those options, the Vespa is yours from 2pm on your arrival day and/or you can return it at 2pm on your departure day (€50 per option).

Can I drive the Vespa solo?

The prices are calculated with the assumption that the Vespa is shared between 2 people. If you would like to drive solo, there is a supplement of €120 per single driver.

DRIVING LICENSE

In order to drive our Vespas in Italy, you must have a driving license (B) or a motorbike license (A) and be 18+. The license (AM) is not valid. The passenger sitting in the back does not need to be 18 nor have a driving license. You have a European driving license? That’s perfect! Your license isn’t for Europe? Then you’ll need to apply for an international driving license. Without an international drivers license you are not allowed to drive the Vespa.

GPS

The designed routes are uploaded on a GPS, which you can easily attach to the steering wheel of your Vespa. With this GPS (+ €30) you’ll come by the most beautiful roads and arrive at the most stunning stops.

FOOD

Daily breakfast is included in the price. For a lovely lunch or dinner, we always recommend some of our favorite restaurants. In Fasano, the home base for your Vespa Trip, you will find many cozy restaurants and nice bars.

START-TO-VESPA

Never driven a Vespa or scooter before? Then we strongly recommend you to take the Start-to-Vespa class. On your arrival day, the guide will give you all the information and an initiation to get the hang of Vespa driving and to be able to drive safely in Italian traffic. After this lesson you’ll be ready to start your Vespa Trip. This class costs €50 per person.

VESPA INSURANCE

You are automatically insured for damage to third parties with your Vespa. For damage to your own Vespa you have two choices. Either you choose the omnium insurance (€89 per Vespa), where the own risk is €0. If you don’t want this insurance, a deposit of €500 is required for which you are liable.

A month before departure you’ll receive an email where you can choose one of these two options.
